Etisalat’s new Huawei smartphone deal gives customers two free devices – the Huawei Ascend P7 smartphone and Huawei MediaPad X1 tablet – bundled with a choice of Etisalat’s smartphone post-paid plans. The devices are available across Etisalat’s Business and Service Centres and key retail outlets in the UAE.
The Huawei, Ascend P7 features a 5.5″ screen and is powered by a 1.8GHz HiSilicon Kirin 910T quad-core processor. It runs on the latest Android version — 4.4.2 KitKat — and features Huawei’s Emotion 2.3 user interface. The 13-megapixel camera can be activated within 1.2 seconds from standby mode by pressing the volume down button. The Huawei MediaPad X1 is the lightest and narrowest 7-inch tablet, plus it’s a phone. The device is designed in a way that makes it more usable than other colossal phones. It has a generous 5,000mAh battery and a high-res 1,920 x 1,200 LTPS display.
Customers can get their hands on both the devices for free when subscribing to a post-paid smartphone plan with monthly 10GB data allowance and 300 flexi-minutes for AED400 a month or 1GB data and 100 flexi minutes for AED250, both on an 18-month contract basis. Flexi minutes can be used for local, international and incoming roaming calls. Alternatively, customers can get AED500 upfront discount on the bundled cost of both devices with a 12-month package. The discounted price for the devices is AED2,599 on a monthly rental cost of AED250, and comes with 10GB data and 300 flexi minutes.
Customers opting for this Huawei smartphone and tablet package can also subscribe and use Etisalat’s Taw’am service. Taw’am offers the facility of having two SIM (duplicate) cards with the same mobile number so customers do not have to switch SIM cards from one device to another for making calls or sending SMS. It is available to both post-paid and prepaid mobile customers.
Both prepaid and post-paid customers can choose to buy standalone devices, Huawei Ascend P7 or Huawei MediaPad X1 for AED1,699 and AED1,399 respectively. The standalone devices offer comes with 1GB free data allowance for the first month and for AED99 per month thereafter.
