Get ready for a new generation of iPads as Apple is set to hold an event related to their tablets on the 22nd of October, as being reported by AllThingsD. Although we haven’t heard anything official from Apple, AllThingsD has a solid record and Jim Dalrymple has also given it a “Yep” making it pretty much confirmed. On that same day, Nokia is holding Nokia World in Abu Dhabi and Microsoft is releasing Surface 2 tablets.
The event is supposed to reveal the new iPad and an update iPad Mini. The new iPad will get a major update bridging its design more in line with the mini- making it thinner, lighter and smaller to carry. It should also feature the new 64-bit A7 processor that Apple introduced with the iPhone 5S along with a better camera.
The iPad Mini might should also get the 64-bit processor and better camera but the biggest improvement for it would be a retina screen. Both the iPads could also see TouchID- the finger prints sensor Apple has used on the iPhone 5.
Lastly, even though this is a tablet focus event, we just might see updates to MacBook Pro Retina and Mac Pro along with the new OS X Mavericks release.
