Dubai Police announced the availability of their app on Android (iPhone version arriving soon) that lets users pay their traffic fines, search for nearby police stations as well as send direct complains. The app also allows the user to take pictures or videos of a crime or an accident that are directly uploaded to a secured server at Dubai Police. Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Acting Chief of Dubai Police said:
“The service is officially open to the public free of charge. People can pay fines, pre-impounded fine payments and request for a clearance certificate from the traffic police as well as get information about the road status before they leave home”
In order to use the app, the user needs to have a valid ID card as the app takes all the required info of the user from their ID.
