If you’ve ever felt a bit weird about pressing the ‘Like’ button on a Facebook status that is a little too serious, then have no fear – Facebook is here to save the day.
The social media giant is rumored to be working on a ‘Sympathise’ button, as an alternative to ‘liking’ a status. According to one Facebook developer, users can tag a status update with certain negative emotions, which will give other users the options to sympathise with a status update. This is particularly evident for statuses that involve the death of a pet or family member for example.
There’s no timeline about when or if this feature will be available, so for the time being maybe it’s a good idea not to ‘like’ that someone has gone from ‘married’ to ‘single’….
