We know that the March-bound HTC One successor will have a 5″ display, the latest Snapdragon processor, dual back cameras, and a slightly similar look. What we don’t know is what it will be called. HTC One 2? HTC One New? HTC One Again? HTC The One?
Apparently, none of that actually. In fact, it might be even worse than all the suggestions we made above.
According to Evleaks, the sequel to the HTC One will be called ‘The All New One’.
Let it hand around you for a while.
This is of course reminiscent of Apple’s naming convention with its iPad, calling it ‘The New iPad’ for the third-generation device in the lineup. But there is something about ‘The All New One’ that doesn’t quite sit well. For starters it’s a mouthful and awkward to type for stories like these.
HTC is expected announce the device at the Mobile World Congress next week. Let’s hope HTC comes to senses with their off-the-charts naming convention (pun was moderately intended).
