Apple has released iOS 7 for older devices such as the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. The update brings a new design to iOS as well as add many new features like Control Center, Smarter multitasking and Air Drop. The update is available OTA so simply head to Settings -> General -> Update on your device to receive the update. On the iPhone 5, the update was over 700MB so you have to be connected to Wi-Fi to update. Apple also doesn’t allow you to install the update unless your battery is over 50% so make sure your phone is charged before you hit update.
