Lenovo yesterday revealed to the world a new device in the form of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet, which has a unique cylindrical handle that allows the tablet to be used in a variety of positions. Introducing the tablet was newly crowned “Product Engineer”, Ashton Kutcher.
No, you’re not being Punk’d.
Kutcher says “When you look at this you say, this doesn’t look like anything else on the market,” which is certainly true given the tablet’s somewhat unique design. The cylindrical edge allows the tablet to be slightly propped up on a tablet for easier typing and viewing angles, or a kickstand can be pulled out to stand it up straight, or it could be just held comfortably in your hand. The cylinder also houses the tablet’s battery, which Lenovo says packs double the battery life of a typical tablet.
The new tablet is available in both 8-inch and 10-inch models, priced at around $249 and $299 respectively. You won’t ultra-high resolution screens on these as a result of that price point, but Lenovo hopes that its pricing and design will make the Yoga Tablet more appealing to customers.
