After David Fincher bowed out of the project, Sony Pictures is now in talks with ‘Sunshine’ director David Boyle to helm the biopic of the late Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs.
Fincher left the project after seeking a hefty $10 million up front in fees, as well control over marketing. He also wanted Christan Bale to play Steve Jobs.
However, Boyle may pick a different actor to play Jobs, and is said to have approached Leonardo DiCaprio for the role.
The biopic is produced by Scott Rudin and written by Aaron Sorkin (of The Social Network fame). The film is based on the best-selling biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson.
