Movie parodies are certainly common, but this time around it’s Nokia who’s giving it a shot of their own.
Their latest advert parodies the film ’127 Hours’, in which lead actor James Franco gets his arm stuck during a rock-climbing session and has to resort to some rather gruesome methods to break free. In Nokia’s version, an unsuspecting man goes about with some housecleaning, only to have a bookshelf topple over and pin his arm down.
Of course the man is wearing gloves, so when he reaches for his smartphone to call for help, he can’t unlock the screen. The ad is supposed to make us believe that the Nokia Lumia 925′s screen can be operated even with gloves on, and if our friend only had this in his possession he could have been saved.
