At Gamescom yesterday Sony announced the price of the PlayStation Vita would fall across the Middle East. The handheld will now retail at AED 849 in the UAE, a price drop of AED 300 from its launch price of AED 1,149.

The price of memory cards will drop also to USD$79.99 (32GB), USD$39.99 (16GB), USD$19.99 (8GB), and USD$14.99 (4GB). Middle East prices will be announced soon.
