Valve has given a brief look into how its Steam Controller works in practice. A YouTube video, as posted below, demonstrates games like Portal 2, Civilization V, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Papers, Please, with the company’s outlandish gamepad.
The Steam Controller was introduced last month, along with Valve’s other initiatives to build a living room-friendly PC with its own Linux-based operating system called SteamOS and pre-built Steam Machines computers.
What is showcased in the demo is not the final version of the controller, but a prototype that will be shipped to Steam Machine beta participants later this year. The final model of the device which feature a touch-screen and other improvements.
