Half a year after its launch, Twitter is likely to discontinue its #Music application due to low interaction numbers amongst its users. The disappointing numbers can be seen as the final nail in the coffin following Kevin Thau’s departure from Twitter. Thau initially led the team behind the app but had left Twitter to take up a COO position at Jelly, the company founded by Biz Stone. Evidently, Twitter has no interest in overseeing the app but the company is said to be restructing its music team, indicating their continued interest in a cross-platform strategy and partnerships with brands as well as companies when it comes to music-related set ups.
