The Xbox One has received a little more juice to run the next-crop of games releasing for the system.
At the Citi Global Technology Conference, Xbox Chief Marketing Officer Yusef Mehdi said that the Xbox One’s CPU will now run at 1.75Ghz, a good 150Mhz more than the previous clock speed of 1.6Ghz.
This follows last month’s GPU upgrade, which was tweaked to run from 800Mhz to 853Mhz.
While Microsoft has yet to announce a release date for the Xbox One, Mehdi said that it will be the company’s largest launch to date. “This will be the biggest launch we’ve ever done by a wide margin in terms of units shipped at launch,” he said. Mehdi also added the system is now in full production ahead of its launch this year.
